University Relations at Queen's

University Relations, a portfolio encompassing Communications, Marketing, and Government and Institutional Relations was established July 1, 2014 by approval of the university’s Board of Trustees.

Led by Vice-Principal (University Relations) Michael Fraser, this portfolio supports the strategic vision and academic mission of the institution striving to ensure that Queen’s maintains its leadership position nationally as Canada's quintessential balanced academy, recognized equally for its research excellence and its transformative student learning experience and being a destination for exceptional people.

The role of University Relations is to build and enhance Queen’s profile and reputation through the stewardship of relations with government, universities, media and the public.

We communicate key information to our stakeholders, audiences and partners about Queen’s faculty, students, and programs. University Relations works with all areas of the University to promote and advocate our areas of research and teaching in support of our strategic drivers.

The Portfolio
