Specific Student Groups

Queen's believes that all students who are offered admission should have the opportunity to attend and remain at Queen's, regardless of their personal financial circumstances. We offer many types of financial assistance designed to fit the needs of a diverse student body.

Student Athletes

Queen's offers athletic financial awards to students who are on the competition roster of a Queen's Gaels inter-university (varsity) team.

Queen's student dance performance

Aboriginal Students

Queen's offers both merit and need-based financial awards to students who self identify as Aboriginal, Inuit, and Métis.

Queen's Alumnae

Awards are given annually to women graduates of Queen's University for a year of study and research or to pursue an endeavour that contributes to the advancement of knowledge, contributes to society or allows creative expression.

Students with Disabilities

There are a range of financial assistance and services available to students with disabilities at Queen's.

Part-Time Students

Students who are taking less than a 60% course load are considered to be part-time students for the Federal and Ontario government programs. Part-time students may be eligible for both merit and need-based funding.

Mature Women Students

The Ban Righ Foundation supports women financially by providing emergency bursaries as well as other need and merit-based awards.

International and U.S. Students

Queen's attracts a community of outstanding student scholars?from across the globe.?There are a variety of financial aid programs available to assist International and U.S. students studying at Queen's.

Faculty of Law

In addition to financial assistance options which are open to all Queen's students, further aid is available for Faculty of Law students.

School of Medicine

In addition to financial assistance options which are open to all Queen's students, further aid is available for those in the School of Medicine.

Consecutive Education

Students within the Faculty of Education who are pursuing the Consecutive Education stream for their Bachelor of Education may be eligible for additional financial aid.
