Arts and Science

Academic Fair and Departmental Showcase

When: 9 am – 2 pm
Where: Biosciences Complex

Kinesiology and Health Studies
Open House

When: 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
Where: School of Kinesiology and Health Studies Building (28 Division St., 2nd floor)

At this open house, you will see live demonstrations of Kinesiology lab courses, tour the Revved Up facility where students in Kinesiology and Health Studies run exercise programs for people with disabilities, and meet students who will tell you about their programs and extracurricular opportunities.

Law School Tours
(Faculty of Law)

When: 10 am, 1:30 pm
Where: Meet in the Atrium of Macdonald Hall (128 Union St.)

Art Studio Tours
(Fine Art)
When: Drop in anytime between 10 am – 2pm
Where: Student-led tours through the studios. See current work and meet professors in Ontario Hall (67 University Ave.)
Chemistry Tours

Geographic Information System (GIS) Lab Tours

Where: Come to the lab in Macintosh-Corry Hall, Room E223 for a tour led by student and prof.

Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts
(Film and Media)
When: 12 noon – 3 pm
Where: Come see the Isabel – our beautiful waterfront performing arts centre and home for the Department of Film and Media. See student films in the screening room or try out the green screen in the production studio room. Shuttles are available from main campus to the Isabel.
Med School Tours
(Life Sciences and Biochemistry)

When: 9 am – 2 pm
Where: Meet in the atrium of the School of Medicine (15 Arch St. / 80 Barrie St.) building anytime during the tour slot and students from Life Sciences and Biochemistry will show you around and answer your questions.

Mini Commerce Lecture

Attend a mini-lecture led by a Smith School of Business professor and experience a real Queen's Commerce classroom setting.

Guided Tour of Goodes Hall

The home of Smith School of Business, Goodes Hall combines the history of a preserved 1892 school-house with the contemporary design, architecture, and cutting-edge learning tools of a modern business school. All tours are led by current Commerce students who can answer all of your questions about the student experience.

Engineering and Applied Science

Open House

  • Grab a complimentary coffee and treat in our student-run Tea Room and have a look at some of our design teams and first-year projects.
  • Interested in Internship? Visit the Queen's University Internship program booth.
  • The Engineering Society's Campus Equipment Outfitters is also open for business in the Atrium.

Engineering Building Integrated Learning Centre Tours

When: 10 am - 3:15 pm. Tours are approximately 40 minutes in length. The final building tour will begin at 3:15 pm.
Where: Beamish-Munro Hall, Atrium (45 Union St.) Please visit the tour desk.

The Integrated Learning Centre within Beamish-Munro Hall is "home-base" for first year engineering students. Built to support first year problem-based learning initiatives, this is a "live" building, where the structure itself is monitored and used as a lab.

Queen's University Internship Program Presentation

When: 2-3 pm

Come find out more about our 12-16 month internship opportunities. QUIP internships are paid, professionally supervised, career-related positions designed to offer second or third year students the opportunity to learn about current advances, practices and technologies in business and industry.

When: All tours for each department begin at 1:30 pm, 2:20 pm or 3:10 pm. Please allow 40 minutes for each tour.
Where: Tour guides will be situated at the main entrance of each building.


Meet and Greet

This is your opportunity to get the student's view of the campus and some of the buildings. Our faculties and schools have also arranged tours. Find information about those in the academic session information above.

Campus Tours

When: 8:30 am - 4 pm
Where is starts: Campus tours depart from Grant Hall. This is a walking tour of our campus, that lasts approximately one hour. Most of it is outdoors, so make sure to bring appropriate clothing (and footwear) for the weather.

Residence Tours

When: 11 am - 3 pm (tours run continuously)
Where is starts: Join a tour group in the lobby of Chernoff Hall Auditorium. Tour a residence room and get an idea of what your home could be like for your first year at Queen's.

Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre Tours

Ask for a tour at our booth in Grant Hall

Take a tour with one of our current students of the Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre and meet with the staff to learn how the Four Directions Aboriginal Centre strives to be a home away from home for Indigenous students and a site of information and support for the broader Queen's community.

Athletics and Recreation Centre Tours
